Extremely disappointed. Was gifted a voucher and was looking forward to an end of term relaxing 90 minute massage. From the moment I arrived I didn’t feel like I was in a relaxing environment. It felt cluttered and outdated. I was greeted by who I assume is the owner, but no name was shared. When I entered the treatment room it felt overcrowded with the two beds, dark so I couldn’t say if it was clean or not and again outdated. The bathroom facilities are also pokey and outdated with a broken toilet seat. I then endured 90mins of painful massage - beyond firm. I did not get introduced to the lady who was massaging me and nor did she address me by my name. She did not check in with how I liked the pressure and only asked once how I was feeling - of which I responded sore. Her response was sorry but you will have more relaxation later. Later never came. By the end of the 90 minutes my head was pounding and jaw was sore from clenching and tensing my body. This lady clearly could not read my body and as someone who has studied massage, I am almost certain this lady did not have formal training. I have lived in the hills for 30 years and never heard of this day spa. I now know why this is. I will not be recommending this place to anyone. I will now sit and wait for the bruising!
