The 2024 St. Patrick’s Day parade is set to be the largest the city has ever seen. To mark the national holiday, the Galway City Council has organized a series of events from March 15th to 18th.

Alongside its biggest parade yet, the Tribesmen Head of the River rowing race is making a comeback to the River Corrib on March 16th after an 11-year hiatus. This event signifies the transition from winter training to the start of the rowing regatta season.

On Saturday, March 16th, the streets of Limerick transform into a playground of excitement, with acrobats, stilt walkers, jugglers, and circus acts captivating audiences along Bedford Row. Meanwhile, Thomas Street becomes a hub of musical delight as local musicians take to "The Green Stage" to entertain crowds with a mix of modern hits and traditional tunes.

The festival's lineup culminates on Sunday, March 17th, with the main event: the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Joined by visual artists Buí Bolg and featuring a diverse array of performers, including Lumen Street Theatre, the Hit Machine Drummers, Mirror Dancers, and Fidget Feet, the parade showcases the community's spirit, culture, and boundless energy.
