Nathalie's journey into the world of travel began as a hobby during her university days, and it has since blossomed into a passion she shares with the world through social media and her blog. CAN YOU SHARE WITH US THE STORY BEHIND YOUR PASSION FOR ADVENTURE AND LUXURY TRAVEL?

It all started as a hobby when my husband and I began traveling just for fun while we were still at university. He always had this passion for collecting flight miles and hotel points, so thanks to that, we were able to travel to amazing places like Bora Bora or Hawaii even when we were students. Over time, I truly fell in love with it and started to share our travels on social media and my blog.

YOUR PLATFORM'S NAME, VOYAGEFOX, IS TRULY DISTINCTIVE AND MEMORABLE. COULD YOU SHARE THE INSPIRATION BEHIND CHOOSING THIS NAME AND THE JOURNEY THAT LED YOU TO IT?

The name VoyageFox came to my mind suddenly while I was lying in bed. I wanted a name that includes "traveling" and "tips." In Germany, we associate a fox as a clever animal - so that’s how VoyageFox was born :)

WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST MEMORABLE ADVENTURE YOU'VE EMBARKED ON SO FAR?

That’s hard to say - every trip and destination offers a different highlight which makes it memorable. But one trip that always comes to my mind is our 3-week road trip through Peru. The country has so many landscapes to offer, and adventures await around every corner!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF YOUR JOB?

My favourite part about being a travel content creator is the connection with people from all around the world and seeing how they live and what their culture is. Of course, it’s also incredible to visit places and hotels that I once was only able to dream about. I truly have to pinch myself from time to time.

COULD YOU TELL US ABOUT A PARTICULARLY LUXURIOUS HOTEL EXPERIENCE THAT LEFT A LASTING IMPRESSION ON YOU?

We are truly in love with Six Senses Properties as they have created the perfect concept that combines exceptional luxury with sustainability. Their properties always leave me in awe!

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO TRAVELLERS LOOKING TO ELEVATE THEIR EXPERIENCES WHILE STAYING AT BUSINESS OR CONFERENCE HOTELS?

I would suggest leaving the hotel from time to time during a stay at a business hotel to explore the surroundings. Maybe there is a hidden gem, a great local restaurant, a special event, or even a great sightseeing spot nearby that can elevate the stay and combine business with leisure.

HOW DO YOU THINK THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY WILL EVOLVE IN TERMS OF CATERING TO BOTH BUSINESS AND LEISURE TRAVELLERS?

I think many hotels will try to develop into places where both business and leisure travellers can find an ideal place to stay. This could include spa areas or cozy bars where business travellers could relax after a day at work. Also, co-working places, special offers, and packages that include leisure experiences for business travellers could be an interesting possibility.

WHAT ARE THE 3 TRAVEL DESTINATIONS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?

I really would love to visit Namibia, New Zealand, and the small, lesser-known islands of Indonesia.

FINALLY, WHAT EXCITING DESTINATIONS OR HOTEL EXPERIENCES CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE YOU EXPLORE IN THE NEAR FUTURE?

We already have many exciting trips planned for this year, and I’m sure that many last-minute trips will come up as well - most of our travels are usually pretty spontaneous. But some bucket list destinations and hotels in Africa and Southeast Asia are definitely on the list!
